I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m afraid,
I’m breaking new ground in my life and it’s scaring me %*$less.
but just maybe…
After scarring myself thinking of all the bad things that could possibly happen, I realized that I’ve solved hundreds, thousands, of math problems that I didn’t have the slightest idea about how to solve when I started them. Sometimes I got to the end of a problem and realized I’d solved it and the whole way I hadn’t known how to get there. And, as we all know, life is just one giant math problem. So I decided to take my own (BRILLIANT) mathematical advice: just do what you know how to do first. Then go from there. There is always a next step you can take that you know you know how to do.
I have an idea for my next step to head me in the right direction!
So I’ll do that, even if that step is to find out more information. And let’s be honest, if you’re breaking new ground in your life then you don’t know all you need to know and you’re going to have to ask for advice. Just count on that for some of your steps. But also, don’t spend too long just asking. There comes a time when you just have to do something. You’ll know when and when that when arrives you better act. I am going to arrive at my dream destination, one step that I know I know how to do at a time.
It’s not so scary after all…
It’s not so scary when you look at it one step at a time. Just plot your course as best you can, build up your speed, and then jump with faith into the unknown!
Just as an interesting side note: You wrote “scarring” which is the present participle of “scar”. That is scary if your new experiences are scarring! 😉
Very scary!! 😉
